Yes.
Taylor your resume to the job you are applying for. You should emphasize your strong points as they relate to the job you are applying for.

Yes, I do. I have two different resume's for different types of jobs. You should definitely gear your resume towards the specific job you're applying for.

Absolutely, I have different resumes for differnt types of jobs or companies that I would apply to. They highlight the specific strengths and skills that are most pertinent to that job or company. It isn't cheating, just good marketing.

i always do! and i kiss up to each job offer personally. think about this, you have no idea if one person is tied to two jobs you're applying for. if they see that you're job seeking and just sending the same application or resume to everything that may be a turn off.

absolutely. your reader only looks at your resume for a few seconds. if you customize your resume to fit the job description you will have a better chance of getting noticed.

yes i do. especially with the cover letter. i was told by the employment office at my college to taylor each cover letter and put in 2-3 things that they say they are looking for. don't use their exact phrasing obviously but it works. also on your resume in the
objective area you should make it job specific.

If you're serious about the job DO customize it for each position applied for that is different.
