How can I tell if someone was using my computer? I was gone for a while and had my computer on standby.?

When I returned I had to log on again. I asked my son if he was in my room and on my computer. But he said no. Is there any way that I can check this out?

check the history on the internet.

on ur bar at the top click the "go" drop down.

    click history.

click view. sort by last visited.

check if u recognize all the sites and if they are in the order u visited them in.

Set a password on your screensaver and you won't need to worry. Seriously, computers go out of standby on their own often if you have a mouse. Simply walking by the room heavy footed would be enough to move the mouse ever so slightly and wake your machine. I've seen it happen dozens of times.

Look at the drop down history list that shows what pages have been visited on the internet! If you thnk he signed you off line and you have AOL, then sign off again and it usually shows how many minutes you've been online. If it's only a short time, like sense he might have been on your computer then he's busted.

i take advantage of homestead windows so i bypass into View then I drop right down to Explorer Bar and click historic previous. bypass into your historic previous report and it will instruct the web content visited and the dates. U ought to establish a deadbolt lock and that they are in a position to't get in with a knife. it's time to get a sparkling roommate in the event that they are in a position to't admire your individual room and stuff.

an easy way would be to click start> my recent documents and see what was most recently accessed. If you havent used the document recently then someone else has ! Hope this helps.
