There is a Sonic down the street from me and I live in Houston, TX. Sonic does not have a dinning room. All of them are either drive through take out or they have massive parking lots where to stay in your car and the food is brought out to you by a car hop on roller skates. Yes most of them still use roller skates. Each parking space has a call box and speaker you use for ordering.

Now for the food. It's your basic burger, hot dog and ice cream kind of place. The food is excellent. I love the onion rings. And any kind of ice cream treat you can think of is available.

I think I'm going there for lunch today. I also have one near my office.

The food is honestly nothing to write home about, but it is good. The service is pretty good as far as fast food goes. If you want to experience a drive in restaurant and don't have another one to go to go for. There is another drive in restaurant chain in my state so I expect better than what I get at the Sonic. I highly recommend you give it a try if you ever get the chance it is certainly the best national drive in restaurant chain I know of.

Sonic is mainly in Arizona, but there is one in Fullerton, CA. We had one in Covina once. I love Sonic. I like their burgers, fries and especially their cherry limeade drink. I have been to the Fullerton location, but its too far to go regularly. I wish they would not advertise for Ruby Tuesday. That place looks good but they are up north past San Francisco.

Sonic is a drive-in type restaurant where you pull in to a stall and order thru the voicebox. The waitstaff comes up on rollerskates and brings your order. The food is okay - not great, okay. For the price range, In N Out Burger is far better in quality...

Sonic has great burgers. I looove the Ocean water!! Delicious. Another favorite of mine is cheddar bytes. They are Jalapeno filled with cheddar and deep fried. THe city where i'm from... all the Youth (high school) cruise sonic on friday and saturday nights. back and forth, back and forth, very slowly. It's like a "hot spot".

Sonic is nice place to go in the spring and summer time. You order, eat in your car like they use to in older times. Sometimes sonic has people on skates bring you your food. There food list is like a fast food place chicken salads beef. There food isnt as gresey though and taste good. They have a large drink and ice cream menu thought. Hope you get to eat there one day.

yes, i have eaten at Sonic. You know how back in the day, they used to have drive-in food stops where the waitresses came out in roller skates to take your order and serve the food? well it's kind of like that (without the skates, lol!)...but I don't dig the food too much. If you like chili cheese hot dogs, french fries, and tater tots, i guess you'd like Sonic.

I enjoy their Route 55 Cherry Limeades (they are rockin')! =)

I'm in the same boat. Commercials look good, but closest sonic is over an 3 or 4 hours away

when we were in Florida this June we ate at Sonic it is so cool you park in a parking spot and each spot has a menu and a speaker so you push the button when your ready ... you order and then someone comes out with your food on Rollerblades and you pay them and eat in your car ... they also have picnic benches with little menus attached and you can order and eat there the food is just like any fast food restaurant but the experience is so cool and their desserts are so yummy!!! can't wait to go back

Sonic is like a 1950s style restaurant with a drive in and they have good food.Hamburgers, chillidogs, malts, shakes, etc.
