How do I uninstall OpenSuSE 10.1 when Windows won't detect the second hard drive and GRUB does not load?
I think the question is fairly self explanatory.
GRUB is a dualboot loader that came preinstalled with OpenSuSE which enables you to choose which OS to boot from.

I've just reformatted my HDD and reinstalled XP. During the XP installation, I deleted all the partitions on the disk. Is that a problem or not?
I just need to be able to see the HDD in Windows so I can format it in NTFS so that Windows can 'read' from it.
I don't care less about OpenSuSE itself: I'd be quite happy to get rid of it.
Is it possible to use Command Prompt and then use some commands to locate and format the disk?

I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems.
Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in/ useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.

It sound like the grub some how became bad. one thing you can do is try booting off a linux live cd. It should be able to see the drive that linux is formated in. Also if you try a program like partiton Magic, you might be able to manipulate the partions that linux was installed on. these are your only option that i can think of right now with out wiping out your HD.
