Land of No Quarter - Ring any Bells?
I remember one of my teachers a few years ago talking about a place around the middle east called something in arabic (or some other language) that translated to the land of no quarter. It was called this because absolutely no one lived there because it was so inhospitable. However, I can not for the life of me remember what it was called or where it was. Google turned up no results, which is kind of scary. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Its not the land of no quarter.
Its the Rub' al - Khali (Arabic: الربع الخالي), in english, "The Empty Quarter."
Its the bottom-right quarter(roughly) of Saudi Arabia which is mostly desert.
Heres the wiki link :-)

I hope she was not refering to Qatar... until a few years ago it was insignificant, but now is quite making the news, especially for its Airline that growing fast and vast.
