I got my book from Walmart very cheaply. My brother who works in the medical field recommended the South beach diet when we were told my daughter had diabetes...thank god she doesn't! The South beach diet is great for people with heart conditions and diabetes...(although if you are diabetic I was told to skip stage 1) it is really easy to follow and once you are comfortable with the rules you can cook up a storm using other recipes...
We have all benefited from using the diet and are loosing weight slowly and in a healthy way. Give it a try!!

i love the South sea coast plan... i have were given lost about 40lbs. He extremely emphasizes the magnitude of end result, vegetables & finished grains (area 2). the purely mission I actual have with that is he does not extremely spell out parts, exept to eat until eventually finished. Which if you're an overweight guy or woman can get you into complication. Or rigidity the magnitude of nicely-known exercising consultation. in any diverse case, especially strong - i love that you will be able to drink wine (purple) on area 2. The ricotta cheese dessert recipes are tremendous! strong fulfillment!

My best friend went on this a few weeks ago and has already lost 8 lbs. (She just texted me the good news this morning). I'm pretty healthy, eat right, exercise, but I can't say I'm a fan of fad diets. My suggestion is to eat 5-6 small healthy meals a day, cut out sugar, soda, fast/fried food and drink lots of water. And of course, exercise. Exercise combined with a good diet does WONDERS.
I lost 6 lbs in just five weeks doing this.
