Do you have words or phrases that "belong" to you?

Not necessarily words that you made up or that you alone ever use, but ones that you use more often than most people - words that, if someone were to mimic the way you talk, they would definitely use? I suppose we all do to some extent but are you aware of yours? What are they?

I talk a lot about "balance."

My sister is a CPA, and it's funny because her keyword is, "The bottom line is (whatever she wants to say.)"

I guess everyone falls into habits of thought and patterns of speech. There's also trends to this -- I'll hook onto a phrase for a few months, then suddenly it's no longer in my vocabulary. Or I'll read something British, and suddenly it's all "Buggerit." "Bloody hell!" I tend to live in books and come out a little bit like whatever book I'm reading.

    '55, 000"

as in 'i told you like 55,000 times'... or 'i've been there like 55,000 times'. i don't know why i use that number, i just do.

Anubinized- made up word stemming from the character of Anubis on Stargate SG1, who has no face, just a hard plastic looking blob where his face should be. My idea was that he was so ugly they took his face away. Context: "That person really needs to be Anubinized!"

Stickpicker- made up word meaning gay person. The actual definition of 'f a g g o t' is someone who picks up sticks, therefore, stickpicker.

I often make up my own words to describe how i'm feeling or what i'm thinking.

    I'd like to think so.

One of mine is actually more of a format. I often say "Just because________ ,it doesn't mean________."

I add an "ie" ending to everyone's name if their name doesn't already end that way. Joe and Mark don't mind so much, but it bothers Vic.

My personal catch phrase is when I strongly agree with someone by saying "See? That's just what I'm always trying to tell people."

And if I'm really trying to be nice, I sign-off written messages by saying:

    peace and blessings

Mine are mostly made-up funnies--Sniglets, or neologisms, or slightly altered words with new meanings--since I have been married and divorced four times. With each partner there was a kind of language/joke/code that was only ours, that we understood. I guess I tend to do that with all my friends, too.

Whatcha. As in whatcha doing this weekend or whatcha watching on T.V. I even use it on instant messaging. (and by the way f a g g o t means a small piece of wood not someone who picks up wood)

I call my cats, my friends, and children, and yes, my beloved, "Babydarlin." :-))

When I get VERY upset, I cuss like a trooper. My friends tease me about it, sometimes.
