Let me explain u... Actually 3G supports UMTS, EDGE etc...
UMTS, This is one the features which supports good signal and EDGE, This is one which supports good internet access...
I suggest you 6630, This is the cheapest 3G phone... It has a good Operating speed and is a smart phone... It too has the Music player and all the extra features you expect...
In N72, you will not find this UMTS but too you can choose this as it has a good music effects and from N series... It is good looking and cheapest phone in N series...

Actually 3G is supposed to start somewhere in May or June 2007, but it is now delayed to early 2008..U can check the following website for more detail
http://www.indiagsm.com/blog/?p=148
And more over when it is implemented in India, the cost will be definetly very high to enable the 3G from the service provider. The same thing happened in some European countries(it was a big flop there as the cost was too high).
Anyways u can wait and watch for the same reason.
BTW buy N72, my colleague uses the same..which is quite good.

I would suggest you go for the non 3g series 60 phone because well 3g isn't available in India yet and wont be for quite some time. And also its a better choice to go for a good phone which you can customize and put all the games and apps and music you need onto it (for when you are stuck in traffic :D )

3G will take sometime to pick up in India. It's still in the gestation period, as u rightly observed.
But anyways, there's no harm in buying a 3G enabled phone. For 15K, you can get the N72, which is a great phone!

3G is not provided yet in india by service provider,we may expect in 6 months time in metro later in smaller cities.but as you will invest money and certainly wont like to change phone too soon so go for it.

3G phones do not have EDGE.. my SE K800 is 3G and no edge.. but the SE K790 has EDGE and no 3G..
but as for the 3G phone.. you could wait.. because if you get one now and they roll out 3G next year.. your phone would and could be outdated or broken.. but if you like it.. why not?.. go for it.. i did..
