any suggestions???

please advice. i am 20yrs old currently working in a small fire fighting equipment company under the service department. im being paid slightly low but fair enough. some one whose recently opened a dairy product processing and packagin firm is offering me a job in sales and marketing and willing to pay more than twice as much. but i am wondering should i stick around where im currently working or should move on to this new firm?? problem is i dont know this new guy well and worried what if after a few months he decides to fire me because im not too sure if his dairy shall suceed or not, and jobs are not easy to get. should i wait for a better job or go for this one?????

    this really depends on what you want to do with your life

    money really isnt everything and sales jobs are always available. like you i would be concerned as the company is not awfully well established. remember too that for more money he could be expecting a lot

    so weigh up the pros and cons carefully

    Sales can be tough and hard to master. Either you have an innate ability or can learn it or you don't and will struggle. Maybe the dairy would allow you to work part time when you are off from your primary job so you can see if sales are for you. If you are a solid performer in sales, you will go far and never lack for job opportunities and if you aren't, you've lost nothing by trying it part time. Whatever your decision, I wish you luck.

    Seems to me like maybe you already know the answer to your question. Me personally would stay where I am at and look for a job at a company that has been around a lot longer and is clearly going to be around for a long time more.
