Have the scientologist brain washed poor Katie Holmes?

ccluff7 is absolutely right. A young relative of mine got involved with this strange cult when he was a bit low during his studies. All they seemed to want, was to get him to pay money to go through 'auditing' processes (galavanic skin responses which you can do yourself with a multimeter) and pay them large sums of money for the privilege. By brainwashing him (or at least using dubious psychological persuasive techniques) he gave up his studies and went abroad as a builders labourer in order to get money to give to the cult. It ruined his life in fact. Died early, too. So if Katie Holmes is prepared to believe humans are the result of spacemen (Thetans) visiting the earth, and that Ron Hubbard (whose book Dynetics is but a distorted version of many standard psychology tracts), was a sort of 'saviour', then she desrves all she gets. On the other hand, she might just be a shrewd person who will divorce Cruise and take him for all he's got!

I'd say she's definitely been brainwashed. Somebody SHOULD save her and, quite frankly, that person should be her HUSBAND Tom Cruise. Unfortunately he's too busy paying the church thousands upon thousands of dollars and jumping on couches to pay attention to the girl that supposedly changed his life for the better. He's a little preoccupied allowing Scientology to change him... into a gigantic prick.

I think they have brainwashed her and everyone else crazy enough to get involved with these people. This "religion" was founded on the theories of a Science Fiction author! I can't fathom how people believe in this stuff. In my opinion they all have weak minds and need something to "complete" themselves. She's just another person like you or I, and she has a right to believe whatever she so wishes. She seems like a bright, sweet person and I think her parents will keep her grounded. Whatever she chooses - To stay practicing her Catholic faith or be involved with Scientology - it doesn't matter. It's whatever makes her happy. Who says just because she chooses Scientology it was BECAUSE Tom or whoever else brainwashed her? She is an adult woman capable of making her own decisions, and that just may be what it is, her OWN decision.

Very weird and wonderful. I had heard about that. The faking the courting ingredient. appears like sumthin his loopy *** might want to do. I do agree. i imagine she has been brainwashed. Even ppl close to to her say she hasnt been performing an similar presently. and that i study a piece of writing that reported that she went to three invite purely party at a designers residing house and wasnt meant to convey everybody consisting of her, yet confirmed up consisting of her scientology "bodyguard" kind human being all up lower than her the completed time. She was not brain washed - I don't think. It's easy to accustom new things and ways of thinking when you are in love with someone.
