Ladybugs... I know them well.
I have a service contract with an exterminator that sprays the perimeter of my house with a treatment for spiders and scorpions that works well to keep the ladybugs away.
It's during this exact time of year that my light-colored house (with a South Western exposure) is attractive to ladybugs flying around overhead. Without the treatment my house would literally be covered in the darned things... getting indoors... everywhere.
There are some people who feel that a ladybug is considered good luck... but that's supposed to apply to one or two. Not the hundreds of thousands that can infest a dwelling and literally make it unbearable if not kept in check. The little suckers manage to find a way into even the best-sealed house. Buzzing around inside, congregating on the TV display, lamps and light fixtures, even disturbing you while sleeping. Trust me when I advise you to act now to prevent them getting a foothold where they can lay their eggs. Otherwise, you'll regret it later.

Your house is warm. The outdoors are cold.
