I'm not sure if can properly answer your question. I think my eyes were covered more often than not during both movies. Equally scary I think ?

You should watch asian movies. Japanese Movies are the most scariest bunch of scarey thrilling movies.the grudge was from japan.so you might want to look for some asian scary movies.
