Patrick Henry's "give me liberty, or give me death." speech?

Hey guys, I am in need of some help for a paper I have to write about Patrick Henry's "give me liberty, or give me death." speech. For my american history class, I have to write a newspaper article about it, as if we went back in time, and witnessed it happening.

Thing is, though, my teacher didn't teach us about Patrick Henry and his speech. So I have no ******* idea why he made this speech or anything. Could any of yins help me out?

He made that remark in the Virginia house of Burgeses as part of speech calling for separation from English before the outbreak of the Revo. But, in fact, when Richmond was about to be invaded by British forces under the command of the vendictive traitor, Benedict Arnold, and the especially viscious Banister Tarlton, Henry discovered a theretofore undisclosed third option---flight. He, Jefferson and every other advocate of the war who could find a trustworthy mount took to their heels and rode pelmel for the safety of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I suspect that you can depend upon it that the Neo-cons would repeat that performance at the first hint of danger to themsleves, and Cheney would lead the pack.
