Pregnant while breastfeeding?!? Please only answer if you actually know.?

Are the symptoms the same if you're breastfeeding and get pregnant? I'm pretty sure I'm not, but a little over a week ago I had intercourse and today I'm very sick to my stomach and have a nasty headache. It's probably just something flu-like, but I'm just wondering. I doubt I'd be having these kinds of symptoms this quick anyway.....but just wanted to know if anyone familiar with being pregnant while breastfeeding (I have a 7 month old) had different symptoms than when not and what they were. Thanks!

whilst breast feeding my son I fell pregnant with my daughter, but the symptoms where much the same each time so that's not a lot of help to you, I can say tho, that I did FEEL pregnant much quicker and carried on breast feeding my son for a month or so after finding out for sure................

Good luck and let us know which it is...............

I got pregnant twice will BFing. I had symptoms pretty early the first time, it was following a pregnancy where I had morning sickness. I got morning sickness by about 2-3 weeks pg.

    You should take a test.

Theres a really good chance that you're body is just fatigedfrom talking care of a kid plus breastfeeding but i would say if it last more then a week to atleast take a test and if its negitive go to the dr.

you have to make sure your body has enough nutrients. There are old wives tales that say that you cant breastfeed but they hasnt been any scientific evidence that its not safe. You can breastfeed just make sure you get enough healthy calories. your head is hurting because breastfeeding makes you loose weight and thats the last thing you want to do while pregnant. take in more calories.

the symptoms are usually the same, but can become apparent much faster, and they can be more intense. I wouldn't think that one week would be enough time for it to show up, but every woman is different.

I'd say if you're symptoms keep up you might want to test just in case. it's very possible to become pregnant while nursing.

I had a pregnancy scare whilst still breast feeding my son so I looked into it, apparently it is still ok to breastfeed your child if pregnant but the taste of the milk turns sour so this may stop them from wanting your milk, sorry this is all I know
