  • Please help me with my faith....?

My life is falling apart at the seams. I'm a Christian. My faith is being rocked. I haven't ever been this low in my life and I'm scared and profoundly crushed. I'm on my knees begging, praying to God to help me and it's like I'm talking to the ceiling fan. I get no help. Not even peace in my heart that everything will work out. It just gets worse each day. Please someone help me. Maybe God will use one of you to help me feel more at ease with my situation. I'm so lost right now and hurting. Please help.

  • Pregnancy symptoms?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, but due to still breastfeeding my son, my cycles aren't at all consistent. I'm "timing" the best I can, and if I'm guessing right, then I'd be about 1 week pregnant. I didn't think much of it until this morning when I woke up with a bad case of hives that have been going on all day. I haven't eaten or done anything differently and was wondering if anyone else had hives at about a week pregnant. I have been pregnant once before and don't remember anything like that (although I didn't realize I was pregnant until about 8 weeks along and could've just not noticed). Thanks in advace and serious answers only please!

  • Question about clinginess and temper tantrums in a 9 month old.?

I have an almost 9 month old son who has hit a new level of being clingy and throwing temper tantrums. He's too young to discipline and every time I try to sit him down, he grabs ahold of me and won't let go, screaming. Also, if I do something he doesn't like, he'll throw himself all rigid on the floor screaming till he's red in the face. He won't go to anyone else, including his father (which is causing HUGE problems because his dad already doesn't want me being a stay-at-home mom because my husband thinks it'll make him a "mama's boy")...Does anyone have suggestions about how to stop temper tantrums in a child this young? Basically, I snap my fingers or clap my hands and tell him no in a strong voice. It does no good -- usually makes him cry harder. Also any suggestions on the clinginess thing. It doesn't bother me too much, but my husband and the grandparents are doing nuts not getting to hold my little boy! Thanks!

  • Christmas help?

Before I begin, please no hateful or rude answers...I'm asking this for real. Does anyone know of any way to get some money to help for Christmas presents? I'm a stay-at-home Mom and my husband has a good job but thinks presents are pointless for our kids. I have no money myself (he keeps in charge of it). I've tried applying for store credit card and was declined (I have really bad credit from a previous marriage). I really don't want my kids going without presents and I don't have a cent to my name - nor can I get any from my husband. We don't fall into the category of getting government help or anything like that - my husband does have a good job. I need like between $200 and $500 and I don't have anything to sell. Any REAL ideas? Please don't suggest getting a job - I love staying at home with my kids....and that is a REAL job!

  • Getting pregnant and still breastfeeding?!?

I have an 8 month old and would like to start TRYING to get pregnant again. It took me 10 years to make my baby happen and I'm not getting any younger. I'm still breastfeeding and plan on doing so till my son is between 18 and 24 months. I've not had a period yet. I have tried the ovulation predictor kits and to no avail. I am a nurse and I spent years working in ob/gyn, so please no sarcasm with comments. I'm trying to figure out when (or if) I'm ovulating and if anyone has any stories or experiences that could help me with my situation. Thanks!

  • Myspace song question...?

First off, I'm VERY computer illiterate, so please make any answers VERY simple! I am trying to put a Christmas song on my myspace profile. I had a song already on there, but my brother (who is now deployed overseas) set up for me. I found where it said songs and videos on the edit page and I went and removed the current song I had on there. Then I went to myspace music to "add" another one. I can't find a SINGLE christmas song ANYWHERE. I want the song, Oh Holy Night...if anyone could help, I'm happy to hand out the 10 points. Thanks!

  • legally recording (video / voice) someone?

I may have to go to court for a custody battle and I know I could win if I could show how my husband acts and talks toward me and our child -- otherwise it's just my word against his. I know different states have different laws and I live in Arkansas. Is it legal in that state to set up hidden video and tape recorders to catch him without his knowlege and consent? I heard something on a tv show the other day saying that a police investigation couldn't go forward because they legally couldn't record the person's voice over the phone without informing them they were doing so....which obviously wouldn't help me. Any help would be great! Thanks!

  • Pregnant while breastfeeding?!? Please only answer if you actually know.?

Are the symptoms the same if you're breastfeeding and get pregnant? I'm pretty sure I'm not, but a little over a week ago I had intercourse and today I'm very sick to my stomach and have a nasty headache. It's probably just something flu-like, but I'm just wondering. I doubt I'd be having these kinds of symptoms this quick anyway.....but just wanted to know if anyone familiar with being pregnant while breastfeeding (I have a 7 month old) had different symptoms than when not and what they were. Thanks!

  • Mom's help! Baby food question!?

I have a six month old baby that started on solid food about 3-4 weeks ago. We did the regular transition from rice cereal (which he wouldn't touch) to oatmeal to veggies/fruits and now starting meats. I've been using the Gerber babyfood line. My son was exclusively breastfed up until we started foods and we're going to continue supplementing with breastmilk till at least a year old. Here's my question: He HATES baby food...especially the meats. I asked dr if he really needed them (I'm a vegetarian) and dr said yes. I fed him a mushed up meatball from a can of spaghettios the other day and he thought that was the greatest thing ever. Would it be terrible to puree spaghettios and stuff like that for him to eat? I'm at a loss and basically every meal is becoming such a battle that we end up with a little oatmeal and back on the breast. Thanks in advance!

  • Trouble with losing baby weight...?

I have a five month old son and can't lose my pregnancy weight. I'm still exclusively breastfeeding, but it doesn't seem to be helping with the weight part. I only gained 25 pounds when I was pregnant and right after, I dropped the 25 pounds within 5 weeks -- I have now gained them back. I feel like I'm starving all the time, but I'm trying REALLY hard not to snack too much and just eat regular meals. I play softball and tennis several nights a week. It's gotten so bad and embarassing because my husband thinks (and says) I'm disgusting. I don't know how to lose this weight -- I can't "diet" because of breastfeeding and I don't have anymore time than I'm already dedicating to exercise. I've been so depressed that last month my dr gave me an rx for zoloft, but I've also heard that can cause weight gain so I haven't started taking it. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

  • My baby screams then entire time anyone but me is with him. Help!?

I have an almost 5 month old who is an exceptionally happy baby -- unless someone else is holding or caring for him...even my husband. I stay at home with him all the time, except during some evening when I play softball and tennis -- during those times, I take him to his grandparents (as I have since he was about 1-2 months old)...just within the last few weeks, he has started screaming from the time I drop him off to the time I pick him up. Last night, I had to leave my ball game early because his grandma called me and said he'd been crying for an hour and a half straight. As soon as I got there and picked him up he started snuggling and smiling at me. Has anyone else had this problem AND what did you do about it? Serious answers only please.

  • what's the best way to sell an old truck?

I have a really old beatup pickup, that still runs, I need to sell. I have a newborn and just lost my job -- and this is the only thing I "own". I've called EVERY used car dealer and buyer in the entire state and no one is interested. I've even called salvage yards and put ads in the paper. I need to sell this blasted thing just to pay my rent. Anyone have a brilliant idea?
