I hope he does, as he is a fairly moderate Republican. But let's be honest, before 9/11 he wasn't even popular in New York City, much less the rest of America. He has no experience running things at a state level, much less a national level. If he does run, I think it would only be to angle for a VP slot on the McCain ticket.
Isn't it sad how far conservatives have fallen to say that the strongest ticket the GOP can muster has no conservatives on it?

I hope he runs. That way everyone can see what an effective and terrific patsy leader he is. He is really a jerk great guy and has his head up Bush's butt and walks proudly on the rubble of the WTC collapse and stops the search for remains so Silverstein could melt the rubble and try and collect double the amount of insurance he had for two plane catastrophe. Two planes, three buildings, one huge insurance settlement. Anyway, I especially liked how he told Americans to go shopping on that fateful day. He is some kind of dill hole and will make an excellent president in the U.N. world regime. I especially like how he treated the firefighters and police. He is such a terrific weenie. He'll be perfect for them, I mean us.

If Giuliani runs he will have bi-partisan support. He is conservative on military and security issue and a social liberal. He did a wonderful job of cleaning up New York before 9/11 and his leadership during that crisis was nothing short of inspirational. I will not say whether I would vote for him yet because I will need to see his platform and those of other candidates before I can make that decision.
asmith1022_2006: What shady past? Prior to being elected Mayor of New York he was a federal prosecutor.

I'd like to see him run, he has a good chance of winning after 9/11, but he has a shady past, and going from running a city to the country is a big step.

I hope so... that would put the south hugely into play for democrats...
and granted it would put NYC into play too... but at the same time, I think democrats have a generally favorable view of him, as views of Republicans go...

He might be ok as prez. I have the impression that while he's a R and conservative, he's more of a moderate type of conservative.
I'd give him a close look for a potential vote.

I would vote for him if John M. is his V.P., or the other way around. If those two were running; I don't know who I would vote for.
