Has anyone used Hughes InterNet Satellite? Need pro's and Con's.?

I have not used Hughes so I do not know how well it works. I do know that it uses software to control the modem and that the equipment is expensive. I use wild blue Internet. It is a newer company but they have a great product. The equipment is inexpensive and although they do ask that your computer have anti-virus software, there is no software needed to run the modem. I have the fastest package with 1.5/256, my last speed test showed 1450 down which is excellent. You can also but a Linksys router and route the internet connection to multiple computers. fairly of satellite tv for pc internet, see in case you may get DSL internet (you nonetheless get it although your telephone service, besides the undeniable fact that that is on a diverse line and also you get a million,500kb internet fairly of the 56kb so as it really is a lot swifter) yet once you're unable to get DSL... you may attempt "DirecWAY" (i imagine that is said as that) from DirecTV yet I listen that that is extremely not a lot swifter than dialup :(

It works good and is fast,but,expensive for the service.
