Freedom of expression must not be infringed upon. Doing so not only constitutes the legislation of taste, which government has no business being invovled in, but it is also an insult to any society's citizens because it says, "You are not intelligent enough to think critically about these pieces of art (e.g., paintings, movies, books, etc.), so we're just going to prevent you from viewing them altogether." Ideas are not dangerous. Words and images are not something to be feared. But the people in power do fear them just as they fear anything that would challenge the status quo, anything that might jeopardize their lofty position, anything that might awaken the masses from their slumber. Viva la resistance!

They shouldn't ban something. Ever. there is not any specific way for vampires to act. they're fictional creatures. Anne Rice and Bram Stoker could have began them out in literature as being dark creatures, however the component approximately writing fiction is that writers have a imaginitive license. If i could make unicorns evil in my tale, i will try this. Vampires have not purely below the effect of alcohol animal blood in Meyer's books. Anne Rice, a nicely-liked vampire novelist, had Louis the vampire drink animal blood in Interview with the Vampire. in the event that they ever banned something in simple terms by way of fact it grew to become universal, there could be something heavily incorrect. i'm no longer likely to observe New Moon. i did no longer like the Twilight movie. The actors have been particularly uninteresting and lifeless, i think of.

Just gave a speech on that. Too tired to type that much, but in essence, no. if people are even given the ability to ban things, immature people will abuse it and go on a rampage banning anything in their paths. For example, "Black Beauty" was banned because the title was "racist". Yeah. I never read the whole book, but I know that Black Beauty is a horse... yeah. like the four-legged kind.

I was only thinking about this the other day. Books maybe not so much but I think extremely violent movies should be. In my personal opinion they desensitise the population to violence and has been proven to have a detrimental affect on children. Also explicit movies and books because I think the problem is the laws regarding them it's not like you can stop children or people who the subject matter isn't appropriate for getting them.

I believe in freedom of speech, so no I don't believe that any form of art should be banned. I think that the buyer should use discretion, especially where minors are concerned, as far as what they are allowed to read, view, listen to, etc.

Yes. If someone thinks it is dangerous enough to be banned, perhaps it should be banned. If kids really want to read it or see it, they can read it or see it outside the school. No ban there.

IF I DON'T LIKE A MOVIE OR BOOK I JUST DON'T GO TO SEE IT OR BUY THE BOOK. IT'S JUST NOT MY THING. I DON'T REALLY THINK THEY SHOULD BAN BOOKS OR MOVIES, JUST MAKES PEOPLE WANT TO SEE OR READ THEM MORE.
