What are the modes of fire on an M16A3 rifle?

    as a small arms instructor for the navy i know the are two semi(single shot) and full auto for the a3 for the m16a4 there are 4 semi auto, burst and full

    the first answer is totally bogus, single fire and semi auto???? what???

    Semi auto and 3 round burst. One might see a full automatic coming into play in the next 10 years or so, maybe more. The marines and army are looking into it. soldiers just need to maintain their fire discipline on full auto, which can be very hard to do.

    No full auto. Same as the M16A2. Semi shot and 3 round burst, thats all. The M16A4 is the same as well.

    never seen an M16A3 but i hate the A1s the hand gaurds are retarded.
