Anyone have experience with carpenter's lung?

Wife and I work in a wood shop. She has had a nagging pain in her chest for several years. Some times she is short of breath. X-rays, cat scans, have shown nothing. She always wears a respirator when sanding. Her next step was to take a heart stress test. Beofre doing that, she called an alternative medicine doc who said she has carpenters lung and there is easy over the counter treatment for it. He said he has several patients who have been treated with great results. Can anyone confirm this from their own experiences?
