Why do some people consider lips of an angel to be a cheating song?

even though they arnt together physically they are cheating in there hearts and with words.. i've done this and have been in this very same situation.. it is cheating...ever heard that you can commit adultry just in your mind? same thing..beautiful song though

You wrote the song out and you still have to ask such a stupid question. Let's see, he is talking with his ex while his girl is in the next room. He has to whisper so she won't hear. He wants to make sure the ex won't be in trouble by her new man, and he claims it's hard to remain faithful. Yes, this is a song about a man who still has feelings for his ex and the first chance he gets to make his move, he's taking it. You are the only idiot in this country who doesn't understand what exactly cheating is.

OK I honestly don't think the song is about cheating.They had broke up and moved on and they obviously realized they were meant to be together.That's why he said Honey why you calling so late? I think that when he's says its hard to be faithful and i don't want to say goodbye simply means that he would rather be with her instead of the girl hes with....that he never wants to say goodbye to her.He Loves her and she loves him they are just with the wrong people.DUH

Because it is obviously a married/attached man talking to his married/attached gf on the phone late at night.

well, now that you've asked, this song isn't necessarily a cheating song. but to state the obvious, the guy is already with a new girl and his ex-gf just called him. its obvious that he's still not over the girl and the girl still might not be over him, thus explains her calling. the guy says its hard to move on and be faithful. i guess they're having a timeout and the guy tried moving on. or this could be the beginning of one more try.

Well, personally, I know that if my current boyfriend got a call from his ex and was telling her that sometimes he wishes I were her, I would be pissed! Whether or not you feel that way, you shouldn't tell the ex that....that just gives her something over on you. She's thinking that she's still got his heart, which really he does. I love the song though...i just know that i would be ready to kill a ***** if she were still calling my man. Which of course, he is in just as much wrong as she is if he answers and tells her that stuff.

i dont think it is a cheating song i think that it is a song that you kno really says i cant live without you, you r that special someone i need to be with obviously to all these other ppl here sayign it is a cheatign song it isnt he wouldnt be saying my girls in the next room if that was his girl on the phone i think that they broke up and now hes letting her kno that i love you and i wanna work things out!

I don't think it's cheating.....he's just singing how he feels...i mean, i "was" in that situaution too...but, sometimes, if look it from the out side point of view....then, it's cheatin...depends on everyones opinion.
