What is this pain I'm feeling? FEMALE QUESTION?
This question is for the ladies. I have this pain so bad in my lower area (I think my ovaries) and it's almost unbearable! My husband thinks it's just cramps but I'm finding it hard to breathe. What is this? Is this normal? If anyone has any experience then would you please help me out? I'm not going to the doctor yet because the last time I missed work and went to sit in the hospital all day so I could be told they are "cramps" and get fired the next day. What a boss huh?!
Steady as She Goes, I said nothing rude or offensive to you so I'm not really sure why you would insult me. The only reason I can think of is that you are a rude person who gets off on insulting others or you are some 15 yr. talking crap on the net because you aren't woman enough to say what you really feel to someone's face. Get a life.

This is not normal, no. "Cramps" is a bit a too simple explanation and if I were you I would not go to that doctor again. There must be others and better around. I always make an appointment and never wait longer than 5 minutes...
It would be necessary to learn more details about your pain, when, how often, how long does it last, does it go away and so on. And then just a more detailed description of where the lower area is for you, like ...1 inch under the belly button and then 3 inches to the right and left (on both sides)....or so.
Someone mentioned Endometriosis, this is one possible explanation. But there could be other reasons. Even something like a hidden kidney infection. So perhaps you can start again and describe in the best detail you can the kind and the location of the pain?
And remember - it is not normal. The best would be to make an appointment with a different doc.
You can also do some Internet research at www.webmd.com or yahoo health or one of the many other medical web pages.

If this happens on a regular basis and about the same time each month, you may be suffering from endometriosis. Essentially, small pieces from the the lining of your uterus will inadvertently go in the wrong direction and attach to other organs and cells in the abdominal area. This tissue reacts the same way as it would inside the womb, swelling in preparation of pregnancy, then releasing during your cycle when you are not pregnant. Most of the time, you don't have symptoms; however, when the tissue attaches to a cluster of nerves, you feel extreme pain. In severe cases, it can prevent proper digestion and bowel movements.
I would highly suggest doing a bit of research on your own using the sites in my references and discussing the possibility with your gynecologist. Please, be forewarned, for years, my family was told it was just cramps and all in our heads, do NOT give up, demand a laparoscopy if necessary to rule it out.

It sounds to me like tou have an intestinal problem. Are you regularly emptying your bowels? It could be from constipation, maybe you need to get something to help you to be regular. Perhaps it is something else though and I'm afraid Doctors can be very dimissive at times when a serious illness is present. You will need to go again to the Doctor. After all even if it isn't life threatening "cramps" are painfull and need some treatment too

Well, cramps are usually associated with your period or ovulation. If you know you're starting your period soon or you are around ovulation time, then you shouldn't worry. If you can't breathe, that's really bad, unless you have a really low pain tolerance. Take some motrin or tylenol. Schedule a day off so you can go to the doctors to make sure everything is okay.

An historical other halves story, which I am no longer an historical spouse, however have recognized a couple of, says that, if the hubby climbs over the spouse to get whatever, or for no special purpose, HE may have the rigors, and so forth.. I've under no circumstances needed to fear approximately that, rationale all my other halves had been already constant, buttttt, none of my brothers ever had that quandary.. that I understand of.. Good success..

If its on the right side, it could be your appendix, (just had this happen) could it be a urinary tract infection? That would cause pain there too. Im sure you know what cramps are like, if its not the same I would go to the Dr. Good luck,

I dont think that those are normal cramps if you cant breath...I think you should go to the doctor or just try to drink more water and less coke...that helped my sister out when that happend to her. hope i helped!

go see your gynecologist asap...it might be an ectopic pregnancy, or even an infection, you just don't know...do NOT put this off and do not let your husband diagnose you....go as soon as you can to prevent what could be something serious.

So...you have already seen a doctor for this pain and they told you it was cramps?? Then maybe it actually is what the dr said! Do ya think?!?!?! I think they fired you for lack of brain cells.
