I have no idea what to tell her?!?
My best friend asked me if she should file for child support?! While I think she should because she can use the additional money, I also know her baby's father and he's not a complete loser. He works and helps a little but not much. He doesn't give her any cash directly but she said that he pays half of child care and buys diapers about once a month. That's it. To me, that seems fair if he made minimum wage or something but I know for a fact (b/c we are co-workers) that he makes a lot more than her SO it seems he should be paying her a little more than he is. This is where I'm torn...I'm friends with both of them and they both seem to be hard working. I don't want him to struggle trying to pay her child support BUT I don't want her to struggle because she's not receiving enough. Personally, it's none of my business but she is really wanting my input. If he even knew she asked me, he'd be pissed BUT I'm not going to share that with him. If you're wondering, she and I were friends first and when times were tough, I helped her man get a job...that's how I know them. It's not some weird triangle so please keep the negative thoughts to a min. and advise please!!
3 AnswersFriends10 years agoEquipment for starting photography business?
Hello. I'm not going to call myself a professional photographer because I have not earned the title. I aspire to become one and have already started the education process...I'll be taking classes soon. Right now, I'm ready to buy all of the equipment needed to get me started. I'm looking at a Nikon D3 and D300s but am leaning towards the DX format camera due to the lens selection, weight and pricing. Does anyone have any suggestions and/or advice regarding the cameras I'm considering? I'm also looking to purchase the Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5 and 17-55mm f/2.8G lenses BUT as you may know they are quite pricey, which one would be the best starter lens or everyday use lens? I currently have a desktop computer but will be purchasing a laptop along with my camera. Which laptop should I consider? Is there one "professionals" tend to use? I've heard MacBook Pro but any other suggestions. Software programs I'm looking at: Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom.
Based on what I've written here, do you have any suggestions, advice and/or insight that may assist me on my journey? For all of those who took the time to read and respond. Thank you very much.

15 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhy is he so selfish?
Fiance just went out and bought a damn Camaro?! While I love the car, I'm SUPER pissed he didn't even consult me AND I'm even more pissed that I had to trade in my beloved Mustang a couple of years back because "it's too small" he says. We're about to get married and we've been talking about having children in the next couple of years which is why we agreed on a 4-door sedan OR suv but a Camaro?! Where in the hell are we going to put the kid? On the roof like a deer?! So I've got to drive the "family" car while he rocks the Camaro?? I want to run his selfish *** over. Really, I'd love to go out and buy a new Mustang BUT someone has to drive the bigger vehicle and I've also got to be the bigger person here. What would you do in my position? HELP!
19 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoDo you or your spouses family play "favorites"?
My family doesn't but my husband's family does and it drives me crazy! I feel like we are the couple that does everything right and still my husband's family treats us like the outsiders. For some reason, doing the wrong thing is rewarded in his family. What I mean by all of this is they don't give credit to the ones who finish school, go to college, get married before having a family. Instead they support the ones that are not married, have multiple kids and a whole history of problems. I don't get it. My husband says they are the ones who need the help and I agree but why not invite us to family events and why do they support them more than us?
7 AnswersFamily1 decade agoHow do I cope with my friends having babies?
I hope this question doesn't sound rude but all of my friends are having babies, I'm literally the ONLY one who has no kids now and while I'm happy for them and their families...I feel myself pulling away from them. Before people call me jealous, please keep in mind that I am happily married and able to produce however, my husband and I are waiting until we are ready. How do I cope with all of these baby announcements and baby showers when we were all adjusting to being married? I really feel alone on this one and I don't want to tell my friends how I feel b/c it may break their hearts. Any advice?

It's definitely a trend starting in Hollywood but why do women feel the need to walk out of their door without panties on? Especially with a skirt or dress on?!
13 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoHave you ever been on a cruise?
If so, how was it? My husband and I are thinking about going next year and I'd like some opinions. If you wouldn't suggest a cruise then what other vacation spot would you suggest? All suggestions are appreciated!
24 AnswersOther - Destinations1 decade agoHow can I make my husband GROW UP?
My husband has always been a rather goofy guy and I love that but he acts like a child sometimes and it drives me crazy. When we get in arguments, he acts like a child by sticking his tounge out at me or saying "la la la la la" really loud while I'm trying to talk or if I say something he doesn't like then he will throw a fit, like a child...literally. I want to hit him with a pillow but that's not going to solve the problem. What are some effective ways to stop this childish behavior? FYI, He didn't really act this way until we moved in together. Any advice, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
22 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWhat is this pain I'm feeling? FEMALE QUESTION?
This question is for the ladies. I have this pain so bad in my lower area (I think my ovaries) and it's almost unbearable! My husband thinks it's just cramps but I'm finding it hard to breathe. What is this? Is this normal? If anyone has any experience then would you please help me out? I'm not going to the doctor yet because the last time I missed work and went to sit in the hospital all day so I could be told they are "cramps" and get fired the next day. What a boss huh?!
10 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoIs it just me or do gay/lesbians come out in bulk?
It seems that when one celebrity is coming out about being gay they all seem to follow. Why is this?
By the way, I love gay/lesbian people because they are equal so this question is not directed to offend anyone. If it does then I'm terribly sorry and that was not my intention. I believe in equal rights for EVERYONE!

5 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoWho has a problem with people who can't speak ENGLISH in America?
This question is not directed to maliciously hurt anyone but I'm very frustrated with people not being able to speak English. I work for a very popular insurance agency and today I've had two people call me regarding their insurance and they can barely speak English. In order to process the payment, I had to say the numbers in spanish so they could understand me. Now, tell me how this is fair to me and many other Americans? I really want to know.
16 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhy do men look at you when they are with another woman?
Don't they realize that it's WRONG!? Some guy pulls up on the side of me in my car and winks his eye at me with his girl in the passenger seat (I know that was his wife b/c I saw his wedding band) I wanted to scream to her "Your man is a LOSER, he's hitting on me, you should leave him!" What was he thinking?!

Those commercials are so silly and misleading. Why do so many act like marijuana is as deadly as alcohol?
