Where to stay in/around Bodega Bay?
December 8-9. We've been to Half Moon Bay before, wanted to go somewhere different in the SF Bay area. Wife likes ocean, heard this is a good place in December compared to others. Bodega Bay Lodge is booked. Most other places have mixed reviews. Help! Thanks.

The Inn at The Tides, just the best!

There are a ton of vacation rental houses around Bodega Bay. I don't know what kind of price range you were considering. Bodega Bay is pretty expensive. It tends to stay fogged in most days, but its still beautiful. I have stayed here before: http://www.sonomacoast.com/prop_pgs/bodegaharbour/... I also had breakfast one morning just north of Bodega Bay at the Jenner Inn. I have always wanted to return and stay a few nights there.

Well it depends on what you want a view or just nearby the ocean. You could even try a motel in Santa Rosa, its just up the road to Bodega from there and its a nice drive. Check out surrounding towns like Tomales and Valley Ford, too

My husband says there's a Best Western there near Doran Beach in Bodega. You might want to check that out.
And while you're there, dine at the Tides. It's a great restaurant.
