Are conservatives in favor of finding renewable sources of energy or cleaning up our environment?

In 30 years we won't be having wars over oil. We'll be having them over water...

Update:

Regardless of whether or not we're having wars over oil now... (there have been in the past, not involving USA).... WHAT ABOUT THE WATER SITUATION? IT'S A VERY REAL THREAT...

I am.It is one of the most important things I can think of.To me energy independence is national security.

Water in this country really should not be an issue.Lyndon LaRouche had an Idea that we should employ those that are unemployed or on public assistance in a public works program to build a network of channels and pump stations to route water from areas that have an abundance to those places that are in shortage.I always thought that that was an excellent Idea.

The technicalities of water purification are trivial. All that stands in the way is the anti-nuke movement, AKA environmentalists. Alas, they may be trapped in their own net. The glorious hydrogen that is now in fashion doesn't come so easy; again, nukes are the answer of choice to charge your hydrogen battery. (hydrogen is not an energy source [on earth], it's an energy storage)

we aren't having a war over oil now. There has been tremendous resources dedicated to research of renewable sources of energy, but just like Iraq, the media has their own agenda and you were not given the truth or any coverage of the story at all.
