1)The sense of humour
2) People don't bother to grumble if the trains are late because they usually are:-)
3) You want bustle, grime and grumpy taxi drivers - go to London. You want the quaintness of signs in the Underground, like, "Mind the Gap", the "anything goes" of Soho night life, to see the beauty of St. Paul's and Westminster Abbey, to spend days at the British Museum, the Tate, to see Kew gardens, go for a ride to the clear green water of the Thames at its source, stroll down Fleet street, go to a pub, have draught beer and a pub lunch, learn and use cockney rhyming slang - go to London.
4) You want warmer weather, the haunting mystery, the pirates' legacies, head for Falmouth and Penzance.
5) You want woods, full of bluebells, and masses of rolling green countryside, Stonehenge, go to the Salisbury Plains,or the Cotswolds, Somerset or Derbyshire - anywhere just outside a city's limits.
6) You want thundrous crashing seas just go to any coast line.
7)You want scones with jam and clotted cream, go to Devon, or if you want to go to Brighton and walk along the cliffs to Rottingdean - go there.
8)If you want to nip across to France for the day - go ahead:-)
9) If you like mountains, hop across the Severn Bridge into Wales, or go up to Scotland and see the handsome tall Scotsmen in Inverness wearing their kilts (with no underwear beneath them).
10) If you like castles, go to Wales.
11) If you like rain, go to Manchester:-)
12) If you like "Chippies", go to Manchester.

14) I like the way when disasters strike, people don't get hysterical. They just get on with it.
14) I like punting on the River Cam.
15) I like playing "conkers" in Autumn.
16) I like that crunchy frost in November.
17) I love the way people keep their gardens so beautiful, the flowers spill over onto the sidewalk/pavement.
18) I like the way people eat - nutritious but small helpings:-)
19) I like going into a shop like John Lewis and have a trained person measure me for an exact bra size.

24) I love the Charity shops.
25) I like the way men will give you a straight appreciative but not lewd look.
26) I like hot water bottles, and marmite, twiglets and Dettol.
27) I like "wussies" and "wide" boys.
28) I like the fact that from Land's End to John O'Groats you will find more people ,cultures, religions from different races and creeds in such a small island than anywhere else.
29) I love all regional accents, and witty slang.
30) I like it when, if you trip on a flagstone, crowds of people rush to see if you're all right - even hoodies or yardie boys.
