When you eat sausage, how many pigs are u actually eating?
For example when you eat an italian sausage or sausage link how many pigs diffferent pigs are in that sausage?

I've worked in a store that did their own meat grinding, etc. They bought whole butchered hogs and cut their own their way. In their case, you got no more than two, because they didn't mass-produce and usually only had a couple of hogs ready each day. Sausage tends to be the end-cuts, etc. The pieces that're too good to toss, and not part of the traditional cut of meat. (ham, ribs, etc.)
In a major meat packing plant they work in lots, but I'm not sure how many constitutes a "lot", probably depends on the plant.

I've never worked in a meat packin plant , but I'm sure they spread it thin , not sure if that helped.
