USB flash memory..?

I was going to give a 1Gb USB flash memory stick to someone for their birthday, but they use a Mac at home and work, will it still be usefull to him or are they of more use with PC's?? I assume Macs have USB slots and it will be recognised ok??

Update:

I already bought it, it's a Sandisk Cruzer Titanium!!

Of course it would work fine with the Mac unless its a Cruzer Titanium with U3 application. But still it will work just fine like an ordinary flash drive its just that the U3 smart system will not launch under Mac operating system. Because U3 is only supported in Windows 2000(SP4) and Windows XP

Certain Mac USB items won't work on a PC (Such as Web-cams etc)and certain PC USB items, won't work on a Mac (Some Scanners etc). However most modern USB flash drives will work happily with both as a generic external disc drive.

I don't think you will have any problems.

Nice choice of gift by the way!

"via downloading some application in the laptop we can improve the reminiscence of a working laptop or laptop"? there are classes that delete ineffective data, yet no longer something that actual will improve the perplexing stress area. and no no longer something like this is obtainable with a usb. yet you will hit upon a distinctly low-priced 8 gig usb which will that that application no project

Yes as long as the Mac has a USB port (which is likely) then it wil be fine.

    Good idea for a present!

Source(s): I use both Macs and PCs and my USB drive works on both
