My daughter will be doing her 3rd year in a French University (Perpignan) What is the best way to regularly transfer money and minimise charges and exchange rate costs from UK to France, are there any banks that have branches in both countries that have any sort of scheme in place?

  • WMP Playlists/Sony MP3 player.?

My daughter has a 32Gb Sony X series and has it half full of her favourite albums and tracks, however when she copies a playlist from WMP to the Sony (Playlist folder) it copies all the tracks again, even though they are already on the player, this is taking up too much space, surely it should just be a 'list' from which it plays the playlist tracks from the library on the player?? What is she doing wrong?, she is sure she managed to do it correctly on one occasion but can't find out how. Help!!

  • Widows Media Player question....?

My daughter is ripping all her CD's to WMP 11, since they will take up a bit of space, she has bought a USB portable hard drive to keep the MP3 files on, and also back up other stuff like photos etc. I changed the storage location in WMP and copied the music folder to the new drive but none of the cover art displayed! Is the cover art held in a different folder, or did I miss on something else. Which folders should I copy to the portable drive before I can delete from the HD and run WMP from the USB drive? Thanks for any help.

  • Mercedes VITO 108D MY1997?

Hi, any Mercedes techs or auto sparks out there in Yahooland!? I have 97 VITO 108D and both reversing light have failed in the past few days( just noticed last night) The bulbs are both ok as is the switch on the gearbox, but there is no power on the reversing light cable at the block on the rear light cluster on either side. Also checked the connectors below the pass. seat, nothing evident. I was wondering if there was a relay anywhere for these lights or is it just a direct connection to the switch? Any advice on where to look for the fault(break) ? All other rear lights are ok. Thanks..

  • Yahoo uk home page takes ages to load..?

I have used http://uk.yahoo.com/ as my homepage for many years with no problems, but for the past few weeks it has taken AGES to load 3-4-5 minutes, and sometimes never! I usually give up and close down explorer and start again but it makes no difference. I have checked the URL, and re-created it under tools/internet options, but it is still the same. All other web pages load in a second or two, as do all my favourites and most links. Has Yahoo Uk just got clogged up? is there some setting or something that I should be looking at, I just can't find a reason for this and it;s got so annoying that I have now made Google my home page, but if I search for Yahoo and click a link for Yahoo Uk it's just the same, 4-5 minutes, if at all? Help!!

  • DAB radio vs. FM.?

My PAL Tivoli radio is FM only and has always sounded better than either of my two DAB radios. Why has the UK got the world worst DAB service, the bottom of the list, with Estonia, of all places at the top. Why do we the UK always go for the cheaper, crappy option??!! and usually pay through the nose for it as well.

  • Archos mp3 juke box.?

I have an Archos 20Gb 'Juke Box' recorder, I want to get a stereo microphone for it, 3.5mm jack. I don't know what type it should be, 'Plug in power' or battery powered or whatever. I can't even find out if it should be a certain impedance, I phoned Archos today and they were absolute ZERO help. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the....?

...rotten sick bastard that came into my garden last night and stole my daghters three fish from our pond, one Ghost Koi, one Shubunkin and one comet, all about six years old and 12-14 inches in length. She is absolutely devastated, and has cried all day. In the process of catching them they have ripped lots of scales off and also tore off 3 pectoral fins. And no it wasn't a heron or something, the steel mesh cover 6 feet in diamater was lifted off and placed back afterwards.

  • Coincidence or a message??

My mother died 14 years ago today, at 06:38, this morning we were awoken by a big crash from the living room at 07:43, a picture had fallen from the wall, where it has been for 10-12 years, it smashed a couple of ornaments and the glass broke. What do you think, just coincidence or a little sign?

  • Why don't the people who.....?

...ask questions and get answers, be good enough to choose a 'Best answer'. If people are good enough to try and help, surely they deserve their reward. I've got loads of answers among 'Unresolved' which will eventually go to the voters, and they don't usally bother either, since it wasn't their question in the first place.
