Archos mp3 juke box.?

I have an Archos 20Gb 'Juke Box' recorder, I want to get a stereo microphone for it, 3.5mm jack. I don't know what type it should be, 'Plug in power' or battery powered or whatever. I can't even find out if it should be a certain impedance, I phoned Archos today and they were absolute ZERO help. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

    I use a Battery Powered Sony Stereo ECM-MS907 for recording onto mini-disc or directly into PC, which is very good, not sure on impedence or suitability for your application but if you check out details on Sony Website it will give you technical data

    u should use a power lead because u then dont have to keep buyig batterys
