I believe the key word in your question is, "ignorant."

I realize, as I'm in hopes most people do, that a great number of questions are purely asked to see if they can pee in someones cornflakes - but, every so often, the phrase,"Ignorance is bliss" comes shining through.

My favorites: (paraphrased)

Why don't we pull our troops out of Iraq and, when they attack us again, we can tell the anti-war people to shut up?

With all of the controversy over the Iraq war, why aren't we doing more about the murders in Darfur?

Added note: These are actual quotes about some of the "sources" that I took the time to check (you know, the ones that "prove" the above conspiracies)

None of the "sources" had ever published any of their "proofs" in any type of scientific venue or main stream media. (web sites and blogs seemed to dominate their outlets)

It gets pretty scary at times when their questions indicate a sincere belief in their convictions. Entertaining, but, none the less, scary.

The one below is an example of what I consider to be the stupidest qeustions on Yahoo Answers. They are asked by Liberals and Conservatives alike, and they are not a request for information, just a request for like-minded idiots to chime in.

These questions cheapen us, demean us, and make us all so much less than what our founders dreamed. Jefferson and Adams argued vehemently on many issues, but they did so with respect and intelligence, not ignorance and insult.

Any one of many conspiracy theories pertaining to the insane notion that our government orchestrated 9/11! These go beyond ignorant!!

The questions that aim to attack individual users, or questions posted by clones, are by far the stupidest. Everything else, no matter how much one may disagree with the opinion behind the question, is not stupid, but it may be incorrect.
