The basic recipe is on the package -- are you looking for a certain kind? There are many types -- orange is a popular ingredient in many of the recipes, but it depends on your taste.

Here is something a bit different if that is what you are looking for:

    Cabernet Cranberries

    Makes 3 1/2 cups

    Prep: 5 min

    Cook time: 22 min

    1 1/4 Cups Sugar

    1 Cup Cabernet Sauvignon

    1 (12oz) Package fresh cranberries

    2 Tsps Grated tangerine rind

    1 (3inch) Cinnamon Stick

Bring first 2 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add remaining ingredients, and return to a boil, stirring constantly.

Reduce heat, and simmer, partially covered, 10 to 15 minutes or until cranbery skins pop. Remove and discard cinnamon stick. Cool slightly; serve warm, or chill 2 hours, if desired.

    INGREDIENTS

    12 ounces cranberries

    1 cup white sugar

    1 cup orange juice

    DIRECTIONS

In a medium sized saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice. Stir in the cranberries and cook until the cranberries start to pop (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and place sauce in a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.

i hope it turns out ok.

    Best of the best

I spent about ten dinners trying to make cranberry gel and my cranberries were always runny and too sweet. I gave up and found that cranberry sauce is really the best, a good counterpoint to the heaviness of the turkey and trimmings and so easy to make. That said, I tried a few times and finally came up with this...

    12 oz bag of crans

    3/4 to 1 c sugar

    2/3 c of water

1 tbsp of orange zest (grated the orange peel, just the orange part)

2 tbsp of orange liquer like triple sec

Combine sugar, water, orange zest in pot, bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add crans....simmer til 2/3 of them have popped and mixtures thickens slightly. Remove from heat, add liquer and refrigerate....

I use the recipe that's listed on the Oceanspray cranberry bag from the grocery store. It's excellent and simple.

It's something like 1 bag of cranberries added to a boiling mixture of 1 part sugar and 1 part water. Simmer the cranberries down and add whatever flavors you prefer (lemon zest, orange zest, nutmeg and cinammon)

I boil a cup of sugar with a cup of water with an orange cut up in it. then I add 3 cups of cranberries and bring it back to a boil, stirring the whole time for 10 minutes. Fish out the oranges and let it chill

Well, here's how I do it. I take one bag cranberries (washed) and throw them in the blender or food processor with 1 quartered orange (peel & all) and 1 cup sugar. Blend for a couple of seconds, then pour in a saucepan and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Voila. Simple and delicious.

Yeah, get your blender out, toss in a whole bag of fresh cranberries, then wash a seedless orange, cut the ends off, then cut it into wedges and toss that in, then start the blender, and add sugar to taste!

It is delicious and simple! The best of both worlds!

You bet. Wash one bag of cranberries. Boil with two cups of water and two cups of sugar until the berries start to get soft and "pop." Once this happens add the juce of one organge and a hefty dose of the zest. Add one pony of good brandy. Let cool to gel overnight in the fridge. It's delicious!!
