Do Salvation Army bell ringers get paid or is it volunteer work?

I know it seems like a dumb question, but I have been wondering. Thanks!

At the Salvation Army where I live, they hire people and they also have volunteer opportunities to do so. So it's both.

The Salvation Army is a volunteer organization with all money raised going to a good cause. These "bell ringers" are volunteers.

Salvation army out here got people from local temp labor place.

    Gives them a quota.

If they don't meet quota the don't come back the next day.
