Why does it cost so much to protect your children?
I have recently been out 3k over some court issues to protect my children. I am looking to be out another 3k before it is over. My ex has been ordered to have a psychological evaultion and social study. Right now the court will only allow him to have supervised visits...cps has been involved....etc
I have pretty much maxed out my credit cards and I have been out over 4k in salary just this year...the 4k is due to taking off with sick children and court visits. I can't really afford to keep paying my attorney, credit cards, and etc. I don't want to lose my house and ruin my credit, but I want to protect my children.
Does anyone have any advice?

Protecting children can be very costly but it is well worth it. The best representation costs money but with your kids you can't chance it. I would suggest contacting some attorneys and try to find some that will give you some financing options. You might be able to get a payment plan.

It doesn't sound like you have much of a choice. When it comes to your children and you think they could be in harms way it is your job to protect them at all costs. Take a deep breath..You are a wonderful mother and making a HUGE sacrifice to protect them. Good luck!

Check and see if one of your local news stations have a human interest reporter.Contact Him/Her if they do explain your situation. If you can get them to take interest.A lot of times people whom watch the stories offer to help.Maybe you could get a lawyer to offer services for free.It is worth a try. I understand about the money issues I have them myself but remember there is no price to high to protect a child.Good Luck!

I have 2 grown boys, 20, and 22. I personally think that now days, parents are over-protecting their kids.

there are many organizations that are out there to help people in your position but you have to ask. call your city and county offices and ask if there are any in your area. churches are also a good source of help and information. good luck and hang in there
