Do you think women are inferior to men?

I knew there was a trick to your question. For years I have wondered why women accept a secondary role. Ancient history shows that women used to have control when the main deity was female. Even when the Jews started taking over Canaan, women and female goddesses were important.

Even sexually, women are built to take on many lovers. it used to be that women were sexually free and inheritance was matrilinear, so it didn't matter who the father was.

One phenomenon that gave men the power was the decision to make a singular deity and consider him male. We are told that we are made in his image, but his image is male.

Men have somehow managed to write history so women like Mary Magdalene, Cleopatra, and Jezebel were made out to be whores. In Christianity, the #1 female is still a virgin regardless of having given birth.

Another point--the male ego, why is it so delicate? Because it is based on lies.

How did women allow this to happen? Why do mothers teach their children all these lies and nobody thinks to stop it? Maybe you are right. If we cannot keep our natural position of power, we don't deserve it.

You've received some good answers so far. There are many ways in which women are clearly superior to men. May I add a new category of answers here? Women have PROGRESSED more than men in the modern era. This is true especially in the mental and physical contexts. Don't just consider the current bottom line. If these trends continue, women will become stronger and smarter more efficiently than men will.

Women are superior. . . ! And then, I read "answer me's" statement and realized giving the reasons for that superior state and potential would be a waste.

In 1970 [in the US] there was a discussion on culture and this subject concerning women; the consensus was that ". . . the american woman has more than any other [in the World] but the least to offer." The problem is that one can never use generalities for specifics. Therefore, setting guidelines, with random selection, the above statement still comes out quite valid. There is still hope and some know, but speak low. Viva la difference! -- It makes life interesting.

Perhaps a better question is in what situations or areas are women superior to men?

I think that there are many instances when women are generally superior. Here are a few:

Interpersonal Skills - Women usually develop better interpersonal skills at a younger age than men do. They also tend to have superior interpersonal skills throughout their lifetime making them better suited to many jobs where these skills are at a premium.

Evolution - Women generally are the choosier mates in humans and therefore have significant control of the evolutionary direction of the human species. Even women who choose not to have children participate and effect who mates with whom. Without women’s selectivity our species could be considerably less evolved.

Pain Tolerance – Even though men are generally considered to be tougher, stronger and more macho, women generally have higher pain tolerances.

Your last comment focuses on the fact that Men hold more hi-paying and powerful positions. If anything women (and men!) should continue to work to end this disparity. The good news is that the disparity today is far smaller than it was 50 or 100 years ago. Women due to maternal instincts do suffer on the career ladder because they are more likely to take time off when they have children. However as a woman that plans to not have children you can make a contribution to all women by working hard and achieving a hi-paying and powerful position. In the business world physical strength is usually a non-factor and a difference of 3 points in IQ is immaterial. Usually the factors that result in high levels of success in business are more closely correlated to hard work, extensive networking, great management skills and other soft skills that women often excel at. Of course you will have to fight some sexism and tradition - but in helping to end these things you may find a reason why you are every bit as good as men and better than them in some ways. After all while you may have to work harder to achieve a similar level of success than a man, you will have shown a type of superiority because of the greater effort you extend.

You also mention that you don't plan to "submit" to a man. I hope that you don't - good relationships are based on a synergy between two people not on the submission of one to the other. Good relationships treat both people regardless of sex as equals. This type of relationship helps both people achieve more than they could on their own and has many other benefits. People live longer, accumulate more wealth, and are generally happier if they are in a long term relationship or marriage.

I think that you're seriously limited by your own beliefs. If you dilude yourself with ridiculous facts created by a group of pathetic, male scientists, then you'll never get anywhere. It's what you contribute to society that marks your importance. Some women are stupid and don't do anything with themselves apart from think that their role in life is simply to be submissive and not question the status quo; while there are others who choose not to be limited by what society tells them, and instead forge ahead of the pack. So, while groups of scientists are carefully researching how women are less intelligent than men, women out in the world are striving to be better, whether it be through raising a family, having a fantastic job, or making valued contributions to society. Don't assume that all of us are sitting in front of our computers just accepting what we're being told. Furthermore, being 3 points higher doesn't mean that you're likely to be better than somebody else. Research has proven that IQ tests bear no correlation to the amount of success a person attains in their life. Besides, more women go to college than men, so what does that tell you? Personally, I think that you can't make an assumption that ALL women are inferior to men. That's a pathetic generalisation.

we are no longer inferior in any respect. we are no longer so good as God...i understand no longer each and every physique is a Christian and that i mean no disrespect. women human beings have been and are nonetheless seen as subordinate to men, merely no longer as much as earlier in like B.C. and the beginning up of A.D. In society we are seen inferior numerous circumstances, however. usually by guys, even in specific circumstances by the ladies human beings themselves. Inferior by defintion is far less substantial, powerful, or worth utilising that defintion we are no longer so good as men in society right this moment...yet no longer by plenty. i'm no longer asserting that i think of we are, yet we are normally dealt with that way.

Men are physically stronger, but I think that a woman can be just as intelligent as a man. More women go to college than men. Did you know that? More women graduate high school than men. They are more capable of doing more than one thing at a time than men. Women that stay home and "scrub toliets and fix dinner" are doing that because they did not go to college or just don't care about doing anything better. That's their problem. You should not judge all women by yourself. You're a moron.

When a man lives alone, he has to scrub the toilet and fix dinner....or pay someone else to do it.

We don't judge people by the work they do....it's how they make us feel when we're around them.....some guys are so great to be around...and some make me so happy....when they leave!
