Does anyone own a scoomba?

Are they as great as they look? If i have all hardwood floors would i need to get a roomba and a scoomba, or is the scoomba by itself?

It's called a "Scooba". I think they are great considering it sweeps and mops for you in one pass. The Scooba only works if you have sealed hardwood floors. If there are any cracks, the robot won't be able to do its job. If you have sealed hardwood floors, than you will only need to buy the Scooba by itself.

The Roomba vacuums are perfect for people with all hard floors. Just remember that if all you have is the Roomba, you'll still have to mop from time to time. I recommend the Discovery or the Scheduler because they have a faster charge time, extra virtual walls (to block off the robot) and they head back to their charger when they finish cleaning. The scheduler even allows you to program when it cleans down to the date, time and number of times per week.

Tips: don't watch the vacuum. Try running it while you are at work or something. If you have pets, try and keep them from attacking the robot and clean the brush roller once every four uses to keep it running smooth. There isn't a whole lot you can fix on a Roomba or Scooba, so you may want to consider a replacement or exchange warranty (if it doesn't cost too much). The warranty isn't worth it if they are going to try and fix it. It should also cover the battery.

You need the Roomba for hardwood. It's awesome - you will love the way it keeps the dust off your floor with no effort from you! Just buy it from a real store (not eBay) where it can be easily returned. I love mine for my hardwood floors, but I've had to return 3 of them. They couldn't find their way back to the base, or didn't work as well as the first one. I'll never be without one again - I just hope they get the kinks worked out so they all work well.
