Weight to volume conversion for flour?
I just found a bread recipe that I want to try, but the ingredient list calls for 1 1/2 lbs. of flour and I do not have a scale; can anyone either convert 1 1/2 lbs. of flour to a volume measurement for me or measure out this weight and tell me how much you got?
Thanks!

There's not a perfect answer, as the method used to measure the volume of flour can greatly change the result. That is, the weight of a packed cup of flour will be much higher than a weight of sifted flour. Many bakers use weight measures for dry baking ingredients for that reason.
That said, my bag of flour says that one quarter cup of flour weighs 30 grams. So, 1.5 pounds of flour (680 grams) would be 5 and 2/3 cups.
