Laurel Hamilton?

Rock is talking about Sherrilyn Kenyon, she writes sorta like Laurell K. (Hamilton). Kenyon has a large "Dark Hunter" series...but after about 3, I got bored.

Kim Harrison writes well, and I find her characters interesting. (witches, vampires, etc...not quite so dark and certainly not as erotic as LKH...dammit)

Patricia Briggs wrote a book called "Moon Called"...another preternatural romance/adventure. Liked it.

Charlaine Harris writes NOTHING like Hamilton, but the books are light hearted, occasionally funny...and I love em.

Maybe you started out with Anne Rice? If not, do check her out.

I just poked around on Amazon (you rate what you like, and they recommend stuff like it)...LKH is coming out with a couple new books soon...one for each series. I'm tappin my toes, waiting impatiently.

Kim Harrison is a very good author who writes in the same vein. I think she is better than Hamilton.
