Is anime shows for geeks?

It's not geeky! Anime is just so good that many people don't realize that outside of the O.C., CSI, House there is this whole other side of show that is just as amazing. Anime has great storylines, great music and many times it's just beautiful to watch. And since it is animation things that could never be done in real life shows look great in anime. Those people you see obsessed because imagine if all of a sudden you not only had to watch American shows but also Japanese ones that come out every day as well. You would seem pretty obsesses I think.

While I think those kids in your school who watch anime non-stop are geeks, I don't think anime was created apecifically for them... it just so happens they like it too.

Like a whole lot of people watched the Star Wars movies... and they're actually made for the greater mass. But some people just like them so much to the point of building their whole life around the franchise... and we call these people "geeks".]

So my short answer is NO. Anime is for everyone.

Dude, if i were you, i wouldn't flaunt the fact around, but anime once in a while is ok as long as it doesn't take up all your time, then you are a geek. remember, what you think is fun, is what you should do in your recreation time, and if you find whatever anime your watching interesting then do what you feel is entertaining! no one should tell you what you should like in life, that's up to you.

I have to admit some of my friends are obsessesed with anime charecters, I mena my friend is in LOVE with Neji Hyuuga from Naruto. But anime is not stupid or anything... its just meant for people to get into it ya know like superman. Its ok to watch it occasionally but if you watch too muhc in a row you have to cut yourself off or you get way to obsessed( I had to stop for like a week), but in moderation anime is great!

How is it geeky? Only if you think you're living the life of a character lol.

Seriously, everyone has watched cartoons in their lifetime...

Anime just seems to be more fantasy than usual, or even more grown up.

I say watch it & enjoy it. Who cares? :)
