How do I get my bouqet of flowers to last longer?

My husand sent me a beautiful bouqet of flowers. I want to know how I would be able to make them last longer. Also how do you press flowers, or any other ideas on how to keep my flowers? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

You can do two things to make it last longer. First, cut the stems of the flowers if you haven't already. It only needs to be a half inch or so. This lets the stem have better access to the water and it's best to cut on a diagonal instead of straight. Also, if the bouquet came with any cut flower food, put that in there.

The best way to press flowers is to put them between the pages of a heavy book and store it in a dry place. You can also purchase a flower drier designed especially for this.

first you have to remove the flowers from the bouqet and cutoff the stalks upto half inch of each and every flower and branch and now keep in fresh watered flowervase and also you have to change the water every day . And also check the stalks or stems everyday if they develop any change in its orijinal colour you have to cutoffagain upto half inch as I told before. This keeps your flowers last longtime.

you can press the flowers by keeping them between the pages of a book ,but you have to change the flower every day from that page to another. However it takes much time if you want to do it quickly you can press it by keeping hot iron box of it but not directly but you have to put between the two pages and then iron it without much heat.

I would try drying the flowers that way they keep their original form. I have all my old corsages, and roses I have gotten over the years. Just tie the stems together and hang them upside down in a dry place.

Add a little bit of sugar to the water.
