how do you keep your whites from getting dingy and your sweaters from getting linty?

    Glad you asked this cos I'd like to know too! There is a new Vanish Whitener product that has just been advertised on the telly and the Vanish products are brilliant at getting rid of stains so I think we should try that next time we do the shopping! Regarding the sweaters, don't put them in the tumble dryer, as soon as you take them out of the washing machine, hang them on coat hangers and leave out to dry...

    whites are to be washed with only whites.

    Sweaters are to be turned inside out and hand washed. Never wash them with other clothes even on the gentle cycle if you choose to wash them in a washer. Only with other sweaters of the same color. Or wash them alone in the gentle cycle. I would also recommend you use woolite for your sweaters.
