Do Lutherans display nativity scenes?

I am looking for a Christmas gift for a friend of mine who is Lutheran. I know she goes to Church and whatnot and I saw this gorgeous handpainted nativity scene in a little shop in my town. I'm Catholic and have always displayed a Nativity scene in my home. Unfortunately I'm a little in the dark about other faiths' practices. Is this something that people of the Lutheran faith normally display during the Christmas/Advent season? Thanks!

Yes Lutherans display nativity scenes, but keep in mind that Lutherans believe in the Bible in it's original form without all the extras the Catholics have added, so all the mere human figures should be just that and not angels or other special beings.

Yeah, Lutherans are just a form of Christianity with different teachings( and way more memory work). we place the navivity scene. What I heard some people do is pu the wise men somewhere in the house and move them closer each day. It's a couple days off Christmas because they weren't there the actually day.

Go for it. Lutherans LOVE Nativity Scenes. And Jesus.

Christmas is a Christian holiday...possibly the vendors of the mall are Christian. I labored at a nursing homestead, we had a Christmas tree, yet, had Menorah's and each thing else to do with Hanukkah...it did no longer offend me because of the fact i replace into Christian, the vendors have been Jewish, and chosen to decorate that way.

Yes they do have Nativity scenes, but their statues with them are different than the statues Catholics have (ho-hum).

They do, but Mary and Joseph do not have halos.
