  • Books w/ sample tests for the Multi-state Bar Exam (MBE)?

My boyfriend's brother is planning to take the Bar Exam in the near future (he graduates from law school in a couple weeks), and for Christmas he asked for a book that contains practice tests. Anyone have any good, specific books that they'd recommend?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Where can I see the Pixar short film 'Presto'?

I saw Wall-E and LOVED it, but the short film about the magician and the bunny that played before the movie was hilarious! Where can I see it for free? You Tube only has a 30-second clip and I don't have iTunes. :-(

  • Getting blood drawn tomorrow - how important is the no eating drinking for 12 hours?

I'm 24/f, getting blood drawn at 7:45am tomorrow to test for various things after I went to the dr. and my blood pressure was high. I am pretty active - I work out every morning and I play sports in rec leagues and I eat relatively healthy. I was told not to eat or drink anything (except water) for 12 hours before my appointment, but I have a softball game tonight which will last until 8pm, and I will be hungry. Is it okay to eat JUST an apple at around 8:15 tonight? Or will that mess with things prior to my blood being drawn?

  • What kind of mixer goes well with cherry flavored vodka?

I have Three Olives Cherry vodka (so it's not the cheap stuff), and I'm looking for a good mixer: soda, juice or otherwise. I've tried Faygo red pop, and that's not so good. Any suggestions are welcome! :)

  • Wen you vote for American Idol do you vote for contestants because of their talent or because of their looks?

I personally vote for talent. There are too many talentless pretty people in this world (ahem, Paris Hilton...even though she looks like a bird) and Haley Scarnato simply doesn't need to be another one

  • Is an SD memory card compatible with an HP Photosmart R725 digital camera?

I'm buying a new digital camera, and I really like the HP Photosmart R725. It's totally affordable, and the suggested memory cards to purchase with it look just like a standard SD card. I have a bunch of SD cards already...will they be compatible?

  • Is it possible to copy music from old reels to CDs?

My dad still has his old reel-to-reel player and he's got at least a dozen reels of music and radio interviews from the 60s-80s that he's always said he'd love to convert to CD. I'm not sure if this is possible - Does anyone know of an electronic device (an affordable one??) out there that will allow him to make CDs out of his reels? My brother and I think this is a perfect Christmas present for him, but we don't know if it exists. Thanks!!

  • Do Lutherans display nativity scenes?

I am looking for a Christmas gift for a friend of mine who is Lutheran. I know she goes to Church and whatnot and I saw this gorgeous handpainted nativity scene in a little shop in my town. I'm Catholic and have always displayed a Nativity scene in my home. Unfortunately I'm a little in the dark about other faiths' practices. Is this something that people of the Lutheran faith normally display during the Christmas/Advent season? Thanks!

  • Has anyone seen Bowling for Soup live in concert?

I LOVE BFS, I just want to know how good their shows are. I got into them almost 4 years ago, long before they got on the radio. I like a lot of their old stuff, like "Girl all the Bad Guys Want" and "Surf Colorado", songs from their albums "Drunk Enough to Dance" and "Let's do it for Johnny" - do they play that stuff at their shows?

  • I need knee-high boots - where to look? Please read?

I have very muscular calves, and therefore that part of my leg is very thick and I have trouble finding knee-high boots that will fit over that part of my leg. I've tried some that were zip-up, some that were elastic (but obviously not elastic enough). Where can I find some good ones that might fit? Do they make knee-highs for people with big calves?

  • What food are you in the mood for right now?

Right now I want a huge Antipasto salad: lettuce, tomato wedges, peppers, black olives, salami/pepperoni, and chunks of mozzarella and provolone cheese with italian dressing. Yummy!!!

  • What is with all the questions about the Spice Girls lately?

Seriously. Did one of them die or something? The Spice Girls have not been popular since 1998 (if that long for some of us). I admit that being in about the 8th grade when "Wannabe" was popular, I liked the Spice Girls. I had the CD. I did NOT have the dolls (were there dolls? I feel like there were dolls), watch the movie, etc. When they were gone, they were gone. They don't still live in my heart, I don't listen to their album(s?), and I'm not trying to find episodes of some TV show or a collector's edition of the movie.

If you still like the music, fine. Great. To each his own. I listen to some pretty odd music myself. But the fan mania is over. Accept it.

  • What do I have to worry about?

I am a 23-year old virgin and I have decided that I want to have sex. My current boyfriend is aware that he'd be my first, etc.etc. I have been on the pill for almost 8 months (ortho-tricyclen lo), and we're planning on using condoms, of course.

The reason I haven't had sex before now is that I have this irrational paranoia that I will get pregnant - even using 2 forms of contraception - the first time I have sex. I was raised Catholic (another reason I didn't have sex until now) and my family would not be supportive AT ALL if I had a child out of wedlock. I don't actually want a child now. And I know this sounds horrible but I can't say, even having been raised Catholic, that I wouldn't consider abortion if I did get pregnant. I do want children, but not now.

I know millions of women are on the pill and are having sex everyday and not getting pregnant. I'm planning on using 2 forms of contraception and I'm still worried. Am I irrational or is this valid? Advice welcome. Thanks! :)

  • Have you ever been pulled over for "speeding" on I-480 in Cleveland with out-of-state plates?

I have a temporary job in Ohio, and my car still has Michigan plates b/c it's not permenant, but I've been here for 2 yerars. Got pulled over yesterday in North Olmsted on my way home from work. Speed limit is 60, and I'll admit I have a bit of a lead foot, but I have definitely learned my lesson after having lived here and driven the same way to work for 2 years. I was in the left lane, there were 2 cars next to me in the middle lane and I could see the cop pullling away from the shoulder into the right lane a little bit ahead of us. I was trying to change lanes when he pulled me over. HE HAD TO SLOW DOWN TO PULL ME OVER! He said I was going 75! There was NO WAY I could have been going that fast and anyway, he was moving! He basically told me that he pulled me over b/c they want my money! And the SAME COP pulled me over 3 weeks ago told me I was doing 75 then too. I KNOW i wasn't going that fast, but I just paid the ticket.

Has this happened to anyone? Is it b/c I have MI plates?!

  • Guys be honest: Would you not date a girl if she were a virgin?

So I'm 23 and I've just started seeing this great guy. We get along really well and we love spending time with eachother, etc. We recently had the "how many people have you been with?" conversation and while his answer was lower than I'd expected (2), my answer that I'm a virgin shocked him. I explained that I've messed around and whatever, it's just that I've never actually gone all the way. I've waited a long time and I'm not necessarily waiting for marriage but simply for the right person. But anyone else I've had this conversation with has gotten all weirded out and then we end up not seeing eachother anymore. Is that a vaild reason, to you guys, not to be with someone you really like?

  • How do I get my money?! Need advice, not judgement!?

Alright, I don't need anyone to tell me how stupid I was for this, I already know that.

I lent my boyfriend some money (about $365). There were a couple things that I didn't have a choice on - he was selling stuff on my ebay account and the item didn't make it to the customer and so the money had to be refunded. This was about $150. And then I lent him money for a couch for his apartment, which was $175. (I know, I know, this is probably the time you're going, "what the HELL were you thinking?!"). He said he was good for it and for God knows what reason, I believed him.

But THEN we broke up in May, and I knew he only got paid once a month. So I waited until mid-June to ask him for the money - hell even a small chunk of it, and he said he didn't have it b/c he'd just paid off the couch, he'd get it to me soon. So I wrote him an e-mail yesterday and he'd blocked my e-mails!! I want to get him to sign a contract to pay me, but I don't know how to write up a contract. Any tips/advice?

  • Questions about job searching?

I'm looking for a job and I have 3+ years of experience with the same company. A lot of job I'm applying for say something like "please include salary history/requirements" - does this mean I should include a blurb about my past salaries and my desired salary in the cover letter or attach a separate sheet or what? I don't want to look like I don't know what I'm doing.

    Thanks for your help! :)

  • when is the best time to list items on Ebay?

Someone once told me that a 3-day listing (Thursday - Sunday) that will end by 9pm EST is ideal b/c a lot of people are on their computers on the weekends and anything more than a 3-day auction and people watch it but then forget to bid.

Are all these things true or is there a better time frame now that it's summer and people are outside more?
