What kind of mixer goes well with cherry flavored vodka?
I have Three Olives Cherry vodka (so it's not the cheap stuff), and I'm looking for a good mixer: soda, juice or otherwise. I've tried Faygo red pop, and that's not so good. Any suggestions are welcome! :)

Vodka ia also known as "neutral" spirits. Which means little to NO flavor component of any kind. Yes, you CAN buy flavored vodka, but the flavoring is added after the fact. Vodka in the opure sense is simply alcohol and water. SO, that means ANY flavoring you add in any manner whatsoever will dominate the taste. Use whatever you want. What ever you use will be flavored by what you add. You could add coffee, grape juice, or orange juice to get the classic highball, the Screwdriver. In a basic highball, like the Screwdriver, the ratio is 1 in 4 (some prefer 1 to 3), 1 part vodka to 4 parts orange juice, My personal preference for a mixed drink is a Manhattan. I ask the bartender to add a splash of cherry juice to add a little sweet to cut the edge of the Bourbon. I can tie the stem of the cherry into a knot with my tongue... which is a really NEAT bar trick...

Faygo red pop, and cherry vodka? Yuck! Are you 14, or what? Go with Coke, cherry Coke (if you want an intense cherry flavor), or Sprite. Those are your best, sure-fire mixers. I used to drink it straight, but that wasn't a very good idea! Gets you drunk quick, but you gets you sick quick, too!

ok these people obviously aren't bartenders. And you must be young, 3 olives vodka is one of the cheap ones :) Make a cherry martini- Mix cranberry juice, cherry vodka, lots of ice, and a dash of lime juice, dash of grenadine(cherry syrup). Shake up a lot, and strain into a glass. Garnish with some maraschino cherries if you like.

try a chocolate liquer, like bailey's or kahlua.
or something else chocolatey...cherries and chocolate always mix well.
don't try to mix it with citrus or other red flavors.
also, an idea would coke...ever have cherry coke??
anytime you try to think of mixers, just think of flavors that compliment the one you have....like cooking.
