I just set up my wireless network. what should I do to make sure it is secure?

    As others have mentioned, enable WEP or WPA. Also, turn off SSID broadcast (so strangers won't easily detect your network).

    You would configure both these things through your wireless router's administration module (a built-in web site on the router).

    enable WPA (better than WEP), turn off SSID broadcasting, ignore ping requests. This should make you virtually invisible to everyone. It's about as secure as you can get on a wireless network.

    In your router configuration, you should enable WEP or WPA. Your wireless connection will then be unavailable unless the client user enters the password you specify.

    never have secured system with Wireless system. keep mornitoring packets

    yes set up a wpa especially if you have linksys. im using my neighbors. shhhhh dont tell
