How do you report an international theft and money washing scam?
I keep getting emails about 15million dollars being my inheritance in Singapore and Tokyo, I'm Scandinavian and German and none of my family has left the country. How do I report this? Is this a FBI matter??? What can I do?
Thanks all! The FBI office in Baltimore pointed me to IC3.gov. If you receive emails like I have, send a copy to this site!

If it's just the usual spam nigerian-type emails, there really isn't much you can do about them except ignore them unfortunately. Those emails are usually sent out by the 10's of thousands to random addresses using spammer's clever tricks, trojan horse viruses and open relay servers (basically internet servers with lax security measures) and are usually hard to trace.

Quite frankly the FBI really isn't concerned. They just don't care. You can report it to a couple of "watchdog" sites on the net, but it does no good at all. Just delete it.

Contact http://www.419.fcd@usss.treas.gov/ the next time you get a letter from these "people" and send it to them with the full header of the message, but they may or may
not be in contact with you personally. Send a short msg
with the forwarded e-mail with a notation: NO FIANCIAL
LOSS, and explain the problem to them. Thank You!!

the scammer is from nigeria. it is an advanced fee scam. the US secret service knows all about it, but there aren't any laws about that sort of thing in Nigeria. Nigerian government is unwilling to deal with the problem.
just delet it and move on. no sense in reporting it, but if you feel the need, report it to the US secret service!
