Refrigerated Meat: How long do I have?
How long can I refrigerate meat (chicken, beef, and pork) before I shouldn't be cooking them for consumption? Do each of those three have a different expiration date in my freezer? I usually buy meat from regular supermarkets.
By refrigerating, I mean the freezer (so it becomes solid ice), not the regular compartment where we freeze eggs and drinks.

This will vary depending on the type of meat as well as packaging/preservatives. However generally you have 1-2 days in the refrigerator. However if you use a freezer this can be increased to several months.

Meat lasts longer if you put it in the freezer but once it's thawed and in the fridge it doesn't have that long to last. Not sure how long but probably like a week or so depending on what kinda of meat it is. I'd check for the 'sell by' date or if it has a 'consume by' date on it and base whether or not it's safe to eat off of that.
