That's a great Question!
This is what is wrong with our society these days... People stopped taking personal responsibility for their own actions.
Someone breaks the law and it is not their fault:
"I was going as fast as the other cars." (yeah, they were all going 90mph also)
"The Police are corrupt." (forget that they had their pound of weed in the car)
"I didn't know I cant park here." (When there is a blue sign that had a handicapped person on a wheel chair.)
Psychologists are going so deep now that they seem to link why Bobby killed his girlfriend to something so traumatic as a kid. It can't be his fault to why he kills now.
As a society, we are very immature. We cannot take responsibility for any actions that we partake in.

It depends on the situation. If I ran into a store without paying a meter. But was out in less than 15 minutes, but got a ticket. I think I would tend unfortunately be a little irritated. But I guess I would be more upset about the rules that the metermaids who enforce the law.
As an aside, be careful of bogus no parking signs and tow companies that may incorrectly help to enforce them. Here in
Seattle, there are businesses who put up "No Parking" signs illegally on public streets in front of their businesses. Tow companies have towed people's cars in response to these bogus signs. The vicitm (the car owner) often gets re-imbursed for all there fees. This was in the news here recently. I think there will be more on this. If your car is towed illegally, I think that should qualify as grand theft auto!

Of course I would blame myself, they didn't park the car there. But, of course, I would be angry at them because they did their job and I have to pay a fine.
It all comes down to accountability in life: ultimately, you alone are responsible for your actions and the consequences thereof.

It's been awhile, but I blame myself, of course. It's not the fault of the police that I was speeding/parked in the wrong place.

I think at first, everyone gets pissed and calls that officer all kinds of names, and then once you calm down, it sets in, "damn I screwed up, I should have put more money in the meter, damn I'm a dumb a s s . But here is the fun part, when you go and pay your fine, pay in pennies, and don't even roll it. Its U.S. currency and they have to take it and count it, to ensure that the citation is paid in full.

I blame myself, but I'm also sorry they caught me! You do something wrong, that's the possible price you pay--doesn't mean getting caught doesn't stink!
