Why don't people do a little research?

Some people are lazy and just want an excuse to get lots of answers. I always try my hardest to find the answer on my own before I post a question.

You are right.

I don't think it is always easier. In the time it takes to type your question, you could have typed it into a search engine and had an answer instantly, with better detail, instead of having to wait for answers on YA, and have to sift through a lot of crap.

Usually these are the same people who -- once a question has been answered -- do not have the manners to pick the most helpful answer but leave it to the vagaries of a user vote...

I SOMETIMES RESEARCH THE ANSWERER, BY GOING INTO THE PROFILE, A LOT OF TIMES THERE ARE CONTRADICTORY QUES., I WILL STATE IN MY ANS. THAT "I LOOKED AT YOUR PROFILE AND YOU STATED IN ONE QUES. THAT....." THEN I ANS. ACCORDINGLY. WHEN I DO THE RESEARCH SUCH AS THAT, OR RESEARCH A QUES, THAT I AM NOT SURE OF, I SOMETIMES RECEIVE THUMBS DOWN. I HAD COME TO THE CONCLUSION, THAT SOME OF THE ANSWERERS HAVE A TOUGH TIME ACCEPTING THE TRUTH, WHEN YOU SEE THE ANS. THEY HAVE CHOSEN, AFTER ALL THE RESEARCH THAT WAS DONE!

People are lazy. Why spend time doing the research yourself, when others may aalready have the answer you're looking for.

People are usually just making up questions to play the Y/A game.

Yes, you're missing the fact that most of the askers are young and ignorant. I mean, just read some of the questions.

No, they are it's called common sense. But it's waaaaaaaayyyy easier to wait and see if somebody can sort our lives out like all those MTV lazy freaks that keep asking us to do their homeworks!

Sometimes there are so many results, that to sift through them can be daunting...especially when there are potentially thousands of people who have the ANSWER on the tip of their tongue and willing to help. If it annoys you that much, maybe don't answer those.
