Should I just e-mail him a hi...or try to call him?

Is there any way to contact someone he is close with like a family member or friend to see how he's doing and send your best wishes for recovery without contacting him directly? I say that because the break-up is still new and you have broken up for a reason. You don't want to start falling for him again, and like you said he might not even accept the call depending on how the break up was and that might make you feel even worse.

I know from personal expereince, that it is harder to get over an x, then most ppl know..

I tried to keep up with my x for like 8 months after we broke up, cause i missed him so much, and i some how wish that we could get back together.. (I would call him like once a month) but, I got nothing from him.. He wouldn't ever call me back, which really hurt as much as the breakup...

I wouldnt call him.. If he makes no effort now to contact you by now, then i would just throw in the towel with him. I know that it stinks, but seems like it is time for you to move on.

I wish that I had gotten with moving on along time ago!..

I think you should make him a card and send it to him through mail. Also make an effort to call him and tell him you wanted to call and see how the surgery went, i am pretty sure it will make him happy to know you cared enough to call. If not at least you tried!! Good luck Sweetie!!!!

Email him. It will be alot easier and less awkward. Just make sure you don't type anything that you will be embarrassed about later.

Send him a email asking how everything went, just to be friendly.

CALL see how it goes. theres nothin to lose since he is your ex anyways.
